Lucas Harrell (3-2) kept New York in check as our Bombers did not hit the ball in the air against the sinkerballer until Brett Gardner blooped a single into left field with one out in the sixth – eliciting a mock cheer from those that remained from the announced crowd of 34,262 on a dank night. Harrell got 14 groundball outs, and he induced three double plays in the first four innings.

In 6 1-3 innings, the right-hander gave up eight hits, hit a batter and walked one. He struck out four and had one flyout. Harrell has allowed two runs or fewer in five of his six starts.

WHEN WE SAY 12 foot 6 inches IN NYC WE MEAN IT

The second abnormality in the last 3 days occurred today on 161st Street and River Ave today, no our guys are still injured.  But only two days after Bald Vinny was seen sporting a suit a car carrier hit the overpass of the #4 train just a stones throw from Bald Vinny’s T-Shirt stand.

RA Dickey would have blamed this on the Yankees trying to stall.
